"On 06/18/04, I was Houseboating on Lake Powell on the Arizona/Utah Border. I had been fishing all day and was not having very much luck. In fact I didn't get a bite all day and I was throwing everything I had at the fish. It dawned on me that I had some Foodsource Lures in my tackle box. I rigged up one of the Foodsource 3" Earthworms in a weedless setup, and threw my line in the water, from the shore, with no luck. I then threw it in again and pulled it slowly along the bottom. All of a sudden, I felt one of the hardest strikes I have ever felt. I set the hook and about 90 seconds later landed a 3 pound smallmouth bass. Used the Bloodworms and I couldn't believe the results. I fish on a public pier in Boston Harbor that is usually packed with fishermen. When all of the fishermen were chunking and catching nothing I used the FoodSource Bloodworms and caught striper, after striper after striper. There were so many fishermen standing around watching me catch fish with FoodSource my brother and I were close to charging a "fee" for allowing them to look at the cows that we were pulling up on the pier. I exclusively used Food Source Lures, because I had done all the research on your company and loved the concept of using real food in the lures. Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, but I wanted to make sure this stuff really was good, here in north Texas . Hey, I couldn't be happier with the results. This stuff is FANTASTIC, due to the amount of money I saved on 'deer scent' this year, and the convenience of using it. I want some more next year!!!!

I received the product on Nov. 5th (our season started on Nov. 3rd). I have put this product to use with a “pre” rut scent and saved part for a “rut” scent. The product seems to be a great alternative to what I have used in the past (35mm canisters & cotton balls).

I did use a "pre-post" rut formula (tinks #1) on 1/2 of this product and used the other half with (tinks #69 during the rut). I also re-used the first batch, due to the way I applied it.

When I put this out, I replaced it each week. I took some coat hangers and cut them in 3 pieces, and strung the product on them, and placed them on low tree limbs, and at the feeders. I then resoaked them, and had fresh scent for the next week. That way I had fresh scent in place every week.

I watched bucks, and does, come and smell these. At my mock scrapes, I would put three of them on the ground. It was AMAZING to watch the deer walk by the scent, and then turn around and smell them.

This product is something I WILL look for next year. Please let me know where I can find them. Attached is the result of one of my mock scrapes. This is my son, Justin, and his heavy 10pt (20.5" inside, with 29" main beams) shot on December 14, 2007.

The Scent Ready hunting nuggets worked well. I was using Code Blue Standing Estrous in 1 bag and Code Blue Tarsal Gland in another bag. I watched a small buck go from ball to ball until he was under my tree. I put nuggets with Tarsal Gland in some scrapes and the deer ripped the scrapes up pretty good. My oldest son and I went back to check the scrapes and he said "Dad, the deer must have been mad at the ground and the trees." I told him that's the objective. The deer in Northern WI are not quite in peak Rut so using it up there will be a blast.

"It's amazing what these lures do. The other day my Dad and I were fishing at Blydenburgh Lake, on a rowboat and we found a small grassy flat. We were throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them and we decided to use our Red Flash 5" Food Sticks. On the first cast, BAM!!! "On February 6th, we were ice fishing on Long Lake in North Central Michigan. Our Vexilar showed something on the bottom other than walleye. I pulled out spikes and wax worms with a finesse perch pole ... no bites. Next, I put on a 1/4-inch piece of FoodSource red mealworm on a bare #14 beak hook and sinker ... Bingo, I started catching perch. They would only bump my fishing partner's real bait, so finally he changed to FoodSource mealworms and then he began yelling bingo!
